What is an 8-Point Face Lift?
The 8-Point Face Lift is a full-face dermal filler treatment designed to restore support, improve facial balance and soften some of the changes that occur as we age.
Despite the name, it is not a surgical face lift and does not remove excess skin.
Instead, carefully placed dermal filler is used across selected areas of the face to restore structure and create a fresher, more balanced appearance.
At Sculpted Rose Aesthetics & Laser, this treatment is performed by Emma, who completed specialist 8-Point Face Lift training in Harley Street, London.
The treatment is never applied as a rigid template. Although the technique is based around a series of strategic facial points, every face is different.
Your treatment plan will be based on your own anatomy, areas of volume loss and the result you would like to achieve.
What can an 8-Point Face Lift help with?
This treatment may help to:
- Restore support through the cheeks
- Improve mid-face volume loss
- Soften the appearance of nasolabial folds
- Improve support around the mouth
- Soften marionette lines
- Improve the pre-jowl area
- Enhance chin balance
- Improve jawline continuity
- Restore some age-related facial volume
- Create a fresher and more supported appearance
- Improve overall facial proportions
The aim is not to make the face look fuller.
The aim is to use filler strategically, placing support where it is most beneficial.
Which areas may be treated?
Not every client will need every area treated. That is why the treatment is planned around the individual rather than simply injecting eight predetermined points.
Depending on your individual anatomy, treatment may include selected areas such as:

Cheeks

Mid-Face
Age-related volume loss through the central face can contribute to a tired or less supported appearance. Carefully placed filler may help restore some of this structure.

Nasolabial Area
These are the folds that extend from the side of the nose towards the mouth. Rather than simply filling the fold directly, support may sometimes be restored elsewhere first for a more balanced result.

Marionette lines
Filler may be used to soften the lines extending downwards from the corners of the mouth where appropriate.

Pre-Jowl Area
The hollow between the chin and jowl can sometimes make the jawline appear less continuous. Strategic filler may help create a smoother transition.

Jawline
How does the 8-Point Face Lift work?
The treatment uses hyaluronic-acid dermal fillers placed into carefully selected areas of the face.
As we age, changes occur not only in the skin but also within facial fat compartments, bone structure and supporting tissues.
This can contribute to:
- Flattening of the cheeks
- Deeper folds
- Reduced lower-face support
- Changes around the jawline
- A more tired or less defined appearance
By restoring selected areas of support, dermal filler can help rebalance the face as a whole.
The treatment is based around facial anatomy rather than chasing individual lines.
Why is full-face assessment important?
Treating one isolated line is not always the best way to improve the face.
For example, a deeper nasolabial fold may partly result from reduced support through the cheek.
Adding filler only into the fold could create unnecessary heaviness.
A full-face assessment allows Emma to consider how each area relates to another before recommending treatment.
What happens during treatment?
Your appointment begins with a detailed consultation and facial assessment.
We will discuss:
- The changes you have noticed
- Which areas concern you most
- Previous dermal filler
- Your medical history
- Current medication
- Facial symmetry
- Areas of volume loss
- Skin quality
- Your treatment expectations
- Possible risks and side effects
The face is then cleansed and treatment areas are marked where appropriate.
Dermal filler is placed using a fine needle, cannula or a combination of both depending on the area being treated.
The face will be continually reassessed throughout the procedure.
How much filler is used?
The amount required depends on your anatomy and treatment plan.
The 8-Point Face Lift is a £660 full-face treatment, but the objective is not simply to use the maximum amount of filler possible.
Product is placed strategically where it offers the most benefit.
If further treatment is likely to improve the result, this can be discussed rather than overfilling the face in one appointment.
Will all eight points be treated?
Not necessarily.
The traditional technique identifies strategic points across the face, but every client has different areas of volume loss and support.
Emma will only treat the areas that are appropriate for you.
When will I see a difference?
An initial change is usually visible immediately.
However, swelling and bruising can temporarily alter the appearance.
We recommend allowing approximately two weeks for the filler to settle before assessing the result.
Larger full-face treatments can continue to soften and integrate beyond this period.
How long does the 8-Point Face Lift last?
Longevity varies between clients and even between different areas of the same face.
Factors include:
- Product used
- Treatment area
- Individual metabolism
- Facial movement
- Amount of filler placed
- Lifestyle
- Previous treatment
Maintenance should be based on reassessment rather than automatically repeating the entire treatment at fixed intervals.
Is there any downtime?
Because several facial areas may be treated, some temporary swelling and bruising should be expected.
Possible temporary effects include:
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Redness
- Tenderness
- Firmness
- Temporary asymmetry
- Small lumps
- Sensitivity at injection points
- Mild itching
Different areas can settle at different rates.
The face may therefore look slightly uneven during the early healing period.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the 8-Point Face Lift cost?
The treatment is £660.
Your face will be assessed first so that we can determine whether this is the most appropriate treatment for your concerns.
Who performs the 8-Point Face Lift?
The treatment is performed by Emma at Sculpted Rose Aesthetics & Laser.
Emma completed specialist training for the 8-Point Face Lift in Harley Street, London, with a focus on facial assessment, anatomy and strategic full-face dermal filler placement.
Is it actually a face lift?
No. The name describes a non-surgical dermal filler approach.
It does not remove excess skin, reposition facial tissues surgically or produce the same result as a surgical face lift.
Will I look overfilled?
The aim is the opposite. Treatment focuses on restoring strategic areas of support rather than simply adding volume everywhere.
Where a more gradual approach would create a better result, we may recommend staging treatment rather than overfilling the face.
Will all eight areas be injected?
No. The technique provides a framework, but your treatment will be adapted to your face.
You may require treatment in fewer areas or a slightly different combination of points.
Is the 8-Point Face Lift only for older clients?
No specific age determines suitability.
It is more relevant to the changes present in your face than your age.
Some clients experience volume loss or changes in facial structure earlier than others.
Can it help jowls?
Strategically placed filler can sometimes improve support around the lower face and pre-jowl area.
However, dermal filler cannot remove significant loose skin or reproduce the result of surgery.
If filler is unlikely to provide the result you want, this will be explained during your consultation.
Can it improve nasolabial folds?
Potentially.
Rather than automatically filling the fold itself, the face will be assessed to determine whether restoring support through the cheeks or mid-face would provide a more natural improvement.
How much filler is used?
This varies according to your anatomy and treatment requirements.
The treatment is based on strategic placement rather than using a fixed amount in every client.
Does the treatment hurt?
You may feel pressure, pinching or stinging.
Many dermal fillers contain local anaesthetic, and the technique used will depend on the treatment area.
Most clients find the procedure manageable.
Will I bruise?
Bruising is possible whenever dermal filler is injected.
Because several areas may be treated, we recommend allowing adequate settling time before an important event.
How soon before an event should I book?
Ideally, allow several weeks before a wedding, holiday, photography session or important occasion.
This gives swelling and bruising time to settle and allows the treatment to integrate.
How long will the results last?
This differs between individuals and treatment areas.
Some structural areas may retain filler for longer than more mobile parts of the face.
We recommend reassessment when you feel the result has reduced rather than automatically repeating the entire treatment.
Can I have an 8-Point Face Lift if I already have filler?
Potentially. Existing filler will need to be assessed first.
Please tell us:
- Which areas have previously been treated
- When treatment was performed
- Which product was used, if known
- Approximate amount used
- Whether you have had filler dissolved
If there is already sufficient product present or evidence of migration, adding more may not be appropriate.
Can the filler be dissolved?
Suitable hyaluronic-acid dermal filler can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase where clinically appropriate.
Is there another option if I do not want lots of filler?
Who is not suitable for an 8-Point Face Lift?
Treatment may need to be postponed or may not be suitable if you:
- Are under 18
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have active infection or inflammation
- Are currently unwell
- Have certain allergies or medical conditions
- Have recently undergone certain dental procedures
- Have significant unresolved previous filler
- Have substantial skin laxity that filler cannot appropriately address
- Are expecting the same result as surgical lifting
- Have expectations that cannot realistically be achieved
Suitability is always assessed individually.

Looking more tired or less defined, but not sure which area is responsible?
The benefit of an 8-Point Face Lift consultation is that we look at the whole face, rather than asking you to decide which individual line or feature needs treating.
Emma will assess your facial structure, areas of volume loss and overall balance before discussing whether a full-face filler approach is appropriate.
Sometimes the best plan is an 8-Point Face Lift. In other cases, fewer areas, aesPlla, skin boosters or no filler at all may provide a better result.
